  • 22 years of age or older
  • Mentor serves as a friend, advocate, and emotional support for the student
  • Mentor is consistent in weekly meetings with student
  • Mentor consistently attends student’s special events if applicable
  • Mentor provides assistance in academic subjects and college/career readiness

Paper City Mentoring Project has partnered with The Mentoring Project, a catalytic global movement in Portland, OR which recruits, trains, and matches mentors to show up in the lives of teenagers. We will use The Mentoring Project’s resources to train our mentors and guide the matching process.

After an application is processed, interviews have taken place, and training is completed, mentors will be matched with students based on the following:

  • Gender
  • Availability
  • Interests
  • Background
  • Specific Needs
